Don't buy this one! Save your money for a different Jill Shalvis book!

I'm a big fan of Jill Shalvis' books but this book, "The Detective's Undoing" and the previous book, "The Rancher's Surrender" were my least favorite of all of her books. As I've read other book reviews for these, I understand they were done at the beginning of her career. "Detective's Undoing" was published in 7/2000 and Rancher's Surrender was published in 1999 but the flow of both books were horrible. In "Rancher's Surrender", I felt like pages were missing as I read. The characters would be doing one thing and the next paragraph they'd be doing something completely different, as if an entire day had gone by. So I purchased the re-released version of "Detective's Undoing" which I didn't do for "Rancher's Surrender" (didn't want to waste my money buying that book again). After reading it, I didn't think the editing was improved on the re-release. I seriously wish I could get a refund on these two books and I've never said that about any book I've read. What I didn't understand was that there were 3 sisters and she only wrote books for 2 sisters. Rather than re-release, I would have liked to see her write a 3rd book about the last sister and have it written/edited 100 times better than the original 2 books. Jill - if you're reading this - make a 3rd book and make it better!

A delightful romance

A good story that lets you get to know all the characters intimately and feel their strengths and weakness. A book where the author takes you to a romantic ranch in the mountains where there is love waiting to blossom everwhere. A very good read.
